K-dramas that actually made me cry (2026 update)

ok cry list, sorted from mildly wet-eyed to fully sobbing on the floor:

Mild: Hospital Playlist — season 1 episode 7 got me. it's not a sad show but sometimes friendship is just … a lot.

Medium: My Mister (나의 아저씨) — this one is a slow burn but by episode 12 I was gone. It's not romantic, that's what messes you up.

Heavy: Move to Heaven — every episode is a self-contained tearjerker. 10 hours of grief cleanup. I finished it in one weekend and could not function.

Nuclear: Reply 1988 episode 20. If you know, you know. I'm not spoiling it. Watch the whole show first, don't skip.

Ones I keep hearing about but haven't watched: Miracle in Cell No. 7 (movie, but same energy), When Life Gives You Tangerines (people won't shut up about it — is it worth it?)
